Project Description
In this project with Hvala Takashimaya, we introduced a Japanese contemporary tea café concept that blends minimalist zen aesthetics with warm and elegant modern touches. The space was designed as a शांत retreat within the busy mall environment, offering visitors a calm and relaxing escape. The interior is dominated by natural wood materials, soft color palettes, and warm lighting to create a comfortable and soothing atmosphere. The tatami seating platform serves as the focal point of the space, providing a relaxed and intimate Japanese-style seating experience. Additional seating areas were thoughtfully designed with varied arrangements to accommodate different visitor needs. The use of scroll artwork, natural greenery, and simple wooden furniture reinforces a clean yet warm Japanese minimalist character. An open and flowing layout further enhances the sense of spaciousness and comfort while maintaining the zen identity of a traditional Japanese tea house. Through this project, we successfully positioned HVALA as a serene, comfortable, and character-driven Japanese tea café within a dynamic retail environment, creating an immersive tea dining experience while strengthening its brand identity as a premium Japanese tea destination in Singapore
